Most NVCleanstall problems fall into one of four groups: source-package issues, component-selection mistakes, Windows permission or security interference, and version compatibility. Troubleshoot from the simplest cause first.
Installation does not start
Update NVCleanstall
Version 1.19.0 fixed an installation-start problem with 576.02 drivers. Older builds are a poor baseline for newer driver packages.
Re-download the driver package
A partial or damaged package can fail before setup begins. Use a fresh known-good package when the source is uncertain.
A feature disappeared after install
Review removed components
Missing HDMI audio, laptop support, or software features often trace directly to a component that was excluded. Reinstall with that package restored.
Build Package runs out of memory
Use the current release
Version 1.19.0 lowered the maximum compression thread count to eight specifically to reduce out-of-memory conditions.
Resolution or driver detection looks wrong
Verify Device Manager first
Confirm that Windows sees the NVIDIA GPU and that the display driver is loaded. If not, reinstall with a conservative profile and restart before applying additional tweaks.
